The Estate of Payson ‘Bunky’ Cushing April, 2016 This year, Susanin’s auctioned the Estate of Payson ‘Bunky’ Cushing. Cushing’s items were auctioned off through a series of three separate auctions, taking place over two months. Included in these auctions were Cushing’s collection of paintings & prints, furniture, Louis Vuitton trunks, Hermes Scarves, fine jewelry and timepieces, books, porcelain & silver, and men’s accessories, such as ties, pocket squares and scarves. An exhibition cocktail reception in honor of Bunky Cushing was held on Thursday, April 28th at Susanin’s Auction House. The event was co-sponsored by Yalumba Winery and featured wine tastings throughout the evening. Bunky, who was an avid needlework enthusiast, crafted a pillow collection and accessories throughout his years. Bunky’s pillow collection was sold exclusively during the cocktail reception, where a silent auction was conducted.
