Oil on panel
Panel: 25.75" x 35.5" Frame: 36.5" x 47.5"
The mahogany panel is 5/16" thick and is a single piece of wood, with no warping or cracks in the paint. There is a 3 1/2" horizontal crack in the panel at left, and a 6" horizontal crack at right (they do not line up with each other). Both of these cracks are inpainted. There are a few small retouches among the tree foliage, and two green branches near the right edge have been added. There are some crude modern retouches on the man in the red cloak at left. Some old, faint retouches are seen in the sky. There are some small areas that show abrading from an old cleaning, but they are now relatively minor. Very yellow. There is no visible signature or monogram
